History and Timeline
MSA was founded January 24, 1990, in El Paso, Texas when Dr. Calvin B. Harris decided to start a company different from any other that he had worked for. He had worked in very large corporations where employees were simply numbers and mid-sized companies that were impersonal and remote to their workers. Dr. Harris’ goal was simple, form an organization where he could create a work environment unencumbered by unnecessary layers of management; he wanted to build a team-like environment where his employees could thrive.
Since Dr. Harris founded the company he has been joined by Martha Harris and Lillian Harris. Martha is the Chief Executive Officer and is the day to day manager for the corporation. As minority woman, she has certified MSA as a minority woman-owned business in the State of Texas, and a federally recognized as an 8(a) Corporation.
Lilly's fresh vision
and dreams have enabled MSA to move rapidly by modernizing
administrative, accounting and management systems. Reporting
directly to the CEO, she currently serves as the President,
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Board of Directors
and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
corporation.
